Steampunk and the Creative Genius

      With the Clockwork Con opening up next weekend, I began thinking about all the creative genius of our brothers and sisters in the Steampunk community.  Almost every day I see a new gun or gadget (even a steam-powered tank!!) emerge from the minds and hands of Steampunk's around the world.
      The Clockwork Con is hosting an event called the Gadgeteer Festival

and in honor of the craftsmen (and women) who build these cool toys, I'm posting a handful of my recent favorites.  Enjoy!!

Steampunk Design with Jake Von Slatt

      The aesthetic and design of Steampunk is not only beautiful but seems to bring out the craftsman in me.  This clip of Jake Von Slatt owner of The Steampunk Workshop , is a great example of how to bring Steampunk to life.

SPOOKYPOP - The Art of Doktor A.

      Is it just me or are these the awesomest (<< spell check says thats not a word) little things you've ever seen!  Things like this are what have drawn me towards Steampunk all along. 

      Doktor A. is the genius behind these toys and I have been inspired.  When I grow up I wanna be a Doktor too!  My mother will be so proud!
