I guess in many ways the work of artists like Lisa Black wouldn't be considered Steampunk in purest form. Still, if (like me) your love of the mechanical + biological creation runs right along side your love of all that is Steampunk, you should take a look at Lisa's work.
Her unique creations have been featured in Wired.com, BoingBoing.net, Notcot.org,
Treehugger.com, Pilot Magazine, as well as other publications.
I can't help but be fascinated by the vision of Lisa Black. It's just the Mad Scientist in me I suppose.
